Remembering Powers Booth

His performance as Jim Jones remains one of the great American television performances of all time, and it etched indelibly in our memory.
I had the great pleasure of knowing Powers when we both donned trench coats and fedoras back in the days of Philip Marlowe and Mike Hammer.
We were often confused for one another, and it was always a pleasure to spend time together, to swap stories and laughs, and to share our observations about the film noir genre, and how much we enjoyed playing private eyes.
Powers was a great actor and a wonderful guy.
I had the pleasure of last seeing him at a screening of Sin City 2, as we were both part of that film. I wish I’d had the chance to work with him, but just knowing him and being a close colleague, was a great honor in itself.
Thank you, Powers for giving us some truly memorable moments over the course of your extraordinary career. We miss you.
My sincere condolences to your family during this difficult time.
With blessings and prayers for peace.
